The Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) Sonographer is a highly skilled professional specializing in high-risk obstetric ultrasounds, focusing on fetal anatomical development and maternal well-being. This role involves utilizing high-frequency sound waves and color Doppler Ultrasound to identify abnormalities, aiding in accurate diagnostics. Knowledge of ultrasound equipment, structured reporting, and image management is essential for precise diagnoses and quality patient care. The MFM Sonographer may also perform routine obstetrical and gynecological ultrasounds.
Key Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
- Education: Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography from a CAAHEP-accredited program.
- Experience: Required: 0-1 year of ultrasound clinical experience;
Preferred: 2 years of MFM ultrasound experience. - Licensure/Certification: Required: ARDMS with OB/GYN registry, BLS CPR. Preferred: ARDMS with OB/GYN, Abdomen, and Fetal Echo registries.
