Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

• 2 weekend shifts or 4 weekend days per 6 weeks required

• Holiday coverage as needed

• No call responsibilities

• Minimum 2 years emergency department experience required

• First time travelers accepted

• Patient ratio experience of 4-5 patients

• Handle approximately 180 visits per day in 63-room emergency department

• Work with adult patient population (pediatrics is separated)

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH

• Preferred certifications: CPI, PALS, TNCC

• EPIC charting system experience required

• Previous charge nurse and Level 2 Trauma experience preferred

• Must pass EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed)

• 24 hours of orientation provided

• Self-scheduling environment

• Subject to float to any campus if needed

• Compliance deadline: 12 noon EST Wednesday prior to start date

• 50-mile local radius restriction applies

This major healthcare organization operates as a Level 2 Trauma Center providing comprehensive emergency services including stroke and cardiac care. The emergency department features 63 beds and handles a high volume of approximately 180 visits daily. The facility offers extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and transportation. The organization maintains 24/7 respiratory therapy support in the department and operates multiple campuses throughout the region.
