Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM

• Weekend rotation required (every other weekend)

• Holiday coverage as needed

• No call responsibilities

• Patient ratio of 5-6 patients

• 24 hours of orientation provided

• Must float between all Cone Health campuses if needed

• Minimum 2 years of experience required (first-time travelers accepted with surgery trauma experience preferred)

• BLS certification required, ACLS preferred

• EPIC charting system experience required

• Must pass EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed)

• Specialize in care of stable trauma patients

• Provide pre-op and post-op care for surgical patients

• Manage rapid response teams, blood product administration, and peripheral line care

• Care for high volume populations including exploratory laps, hemi-colectomies, mastectomies, lap cholecystectomies, eye surgeries, trauma and plastic surgeries

• Also care for lower volume populations including GYN procedures, palliative care patients, 24-hour observation patients, and medical overflow

• Work with lift equipment, wound vacs, and coude catheters

• Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences

• Must complete compliance by 12 noon EST the Wednesday prior to start date

This major healthcare system operates multiple campuses and specializes in comprehensive medical and surgical care. The facility features a 32-bed medical surgical telemetry unit with a daily census of 30 patients, serving adult and geriatric populations. The organization provides extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary services.
