Job SummaryResponsible for providing comprehensive assessment of the spiritual, religious and emotional needs of Hospice patients and their support systems. Provides advanced spiritual counseling to address patient/family issues of grief and loss, spiritual concerns, religious needs, and end of life planning.
Brief DescriptionAuthora Care Collective is currently seeking a PRN Board Certified Chaplain. This role coordinates or officiates spiritual/religious rituals as requested and functions as a member of an interdisciplinary team, serving as the lead expert in spiritual care matters.

- Serve as a lead expert in spiritual care matters and work as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
- Provide comprehensive assessment of spiritual, religious and emotional needs of Hospice patients and their support systems.
- Provide advanced spiritual counseling to address grief and loss and spiritual concerns of patients and families.
- Support end of life planning within the context of spiritual care.
- Master's Degree (M. Div.) from an accredited institution or equivalent.
- Educational and clinical experience in the area of death and dying.
- At least two years of spiritual care experience.
- Must have completed four units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE).
- Ecclesiastical endorsement and/or leadership standing within one’s religious/spiritual tradition required.
- Board certification with the Association of Professional Chaplains (APC), the National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC), or NAJC within two years of hire required.
- Valid state-issued driver's license; must carry automobile liability insurance at limits required by agency and have own transportation.
