Surgical Technologist II

The Surgical Technologist II assists a team of medical professionals in providing surgical care to patients under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). The role involves verifying health data, observing patients, performing scrub duties, and setting up for procedures, including more advanced surgeries.

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; graduate of a Surgical Technology program accredited by ARC/STSA or equivalent military training with surgical tech experience.
• Experience: At least 1 year of surgical tech experience.
• Licensure/Certification: BLS (CPR) certification from American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider;
  Certified Surgical Technologist (CST).
  
  Note:
  
  Technologists hired prior to 12/31/2017 are exempt from the certification requirement, but if the CST credential was held on that date, it must be maintained without lapse.
