LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Controller for a non-profit organization located in the Triad area of North Carolina. We are seeking a results-oriented, hands-on accounting leader with non-profit industry experience who is passionate about our mission and dedicated to working in the non-profit sector. The Controller will oversee financial operations and ensure the financial health of the organization.

• Hands-on oversight of all financial department operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Oversee Human Resources functions, including retirement plan administration.
• Develop and manage the organization's budget.
• Review and approve journal entries.
• Prepare and report financial statements.
• Provide schedules and statistics to auditors for Form 990 preparation.
• Manage grant handling and reporting.
• Provide oversight for payroll processing.
• Work closely with outside audit firm and internal operations.
• Review Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes.
• Perform bank reconciliations.
• Supervise and mentor Staff Accountant.

Desired Qualifications:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Experience with Blackbaud (Financial Edge and Razor's Edge) is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Passionate about the organization's mission.
• Results-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
