Business Relationship Manager

Description

The Business Relationship Manager drives commercial loan portfolio growth.

• Develop a pipeline for lending opportunities through proactive business development and the creation of a center of influence to generate new business leads in the community.
• Partner with other members of the Bank’s sales staff to create cross-selling opportunities and expand business relationships.
• Meet with clients and prospects to provide lending solutions that are mutually beneficial to clients and the Bank.
• Gather financial and credit information, financial statements, etc. and submit loan requests to credit underwriting for review.
• Manage commercial loan portfolio including monitoring relationships, past dues and maturing loans.
• Participate in community organizations and activities to enhance Bank of Oak Ridge’s presence in the local community.
• Comply with Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering federal regulations and guidelines, internal bank policies, and complete annual training requirements.

• Minimum education level of HS diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred.
• 8-10 years of experience in commercial lending and portfolio management at a bank or financial institution required.
• Must have strong sales acumen, strong negotiation skills, ability to generate leads and demonstrated success in closing deals.
• Must have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Comprehensive knowledge of banking rules and regulations with experience making quality lending decisions.
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills and analytical skills.
• Ability to understand and analyze complex financial statements in order to establish credit worthiness and structure loans appropriately.
