Prototype Test Object Technician job at A Society Group, Inc.. Greensboro, NC.
We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Prototype Test Object Technician to join our team. In this entry-level role, you will be responsible for assembling, instrumenting, and upgrading prototype test objects in close collaboration with design engineering to support testing activities in our test facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble, instrument, and upgrade prototype test objects to support testing activities, working closely with design engineers to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Act as the expert for test objects, diagnosing and troubleshooting issues that arise during the testing phases.
- Build both standard assemblies and more advanced prototypes based on project needs.
- Maintain continuous communication with the engineering network to ensure proper coordination and project alignment.
- Assemble and fine-tune test vehicles/engines, ensuring optimal functionality and performance.
- Perform regular troubleshooting and repairs on vehicles/engines in the event of breakdowns or issues.
Development & Onboarding:
Participate in a structured onboarding program, including induction to Volvo Group and transition coaching, to familiarize yourself with the company culture, values, and ways of working.
Learn about product streams and understand the contribution of your work within the broader organization.
Be empowered to contribute meaningfully to the team and gain practical experience with ongoing support and supervision from experienced colleagues.
Qualifications:
- Typically requires 0-2 years of relevant experience in prototype testing, assembly, or a related field.
- Strong theoretical foundation gained through education, with a willingness to apply this knowledge to real-world scenarios.
- Motivated to learn, grow, and develop technical skills within a dynamic work environment.
