Electrical Engineer | Defense & Embedded Systems | On-Site – Moore County, NC

A fast-growing defense technology manufacturer is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer III to support the design and development of advanced embedded electrical systems for next-generation defense platforms. This is a hands‑on, on‑site role focused on high‑reliability systems supporting U.S. national security initiatives.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead design, analysis, and testing of embedded electrical systems and components
• Own PCB design and layout (signal integrity, power distribution, thermal management)
• Develop schematics, wiring diagrams, and interface control documents (ICDs)
• Conduct environmental, stress, and qualification testing
• Perform root cause failure analysis and implement corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with MIL-STDs and industry standards (MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-202, IPC, etc.)
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with mechanical, software, and systems engineering teams
• Mentor junior engineers and lead subsystem‑level projects
• Support prototype builds, field testing, and system deployment

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (embedded focus preferred)
• 3–5+ years of experience in defense, aerospace, or other high‑reliability industries
• Strong background in analog/digital circuit design and embedded systems
• PCB design experience (Altium, Eagle, or similar)
• Experience with debugging tools (JTAG, in‑circuit emulators, oscilloscopes, etc.)
• Proficiency with embedded programming (C/C++ for microcontrollers)
• Familiarity with MIL-STD requirements
• U.S. Citizenship required due to government program access
• $115,000 – $165,000 base salary (DOE)
