We are seeking a Product Quality Lead to drive product performance and customer satisfaction by investigating and resolving market quality issues.
This role involves leading cross-functional initiatives, coordinating quality actions, and influencing strategic decisions to ensure product reliability, safety, and alignment with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate and prioritize market product quality issues to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
- Lead cross-functional problem-solving activities involving engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, and field service teams.
- Chair Field Quality Meetings and lead Quality Action Groups for assigned markets.
- Detect and quantify customer quality issues using enhanced analytics and data storytelling.
- Recommend containment actions and apply appropriate quality tools to address field issues.
- Coordinate and prioritize quality actions across internal departments.
- Communicate product quality status and customer satisfaction metrics across the organization.
- Validate the effectiveness of implemented quality solutions.
- Present technical descriptions for external campaigns and participate in campaign committees.
- Identify and escalate potential safety-related issues.
- Lead initiatives within the Product Quality Leader network to meet application quality goals.
- Influence prioritization of major unresolved issues across teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a business-related field;
Master’s degree preferred. - Minimum 5 years of experience in the automotive industry, ideally in service or maintenance roles.
- Strong technical understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering, including vehicle components.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional teams or managing projects.
- Familiarity with dealership operations or direct dealer interface.
- Strong judgment and prioritization skills focused on customer and brand value.
- Ability to build credibility and establish positive relationships across teams.
- Experience with quality problem-solving processes, predictive analytics, and data mining.
- Strong customer focus and global collaboration experience.
- Proven ability to align technical work with broader business strategies.
- Experience presenting technical findings to executive or cross-functional committees.
- Background in the trucking or automotive industry.
- Experience in roles such as Quality Engineer (excluding supplier-focused profiles) or Reliability/Durability Engineer.
- Exposure to cross-functional problem-solving beyond manufacturing or supplier quality domains.
