Aviation Technology Associates (AVTECH) is looking for an Aircraft Liaison Engineer for the following locations:

  • Winston-Salem, NC (INT)
  • Greensboro, NC (GSO)
  • Tulsa, OK (TUL)
  • Charlotte, NC (CLT)
  • San Antonio, TX (SAT)
  • Jacksonville, FL (JAX)
  • Pittsburgh, PA (PIT)
  • Phoenix, AZ (PHX)
  • Mobile, AL (BFM)

Position Purpose:

Liaison engineering supporting heavy maintenance base operations at aircraft MROs.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

  • Providing technical dispositions (via Engineering Authorizations) and guidance for aircraft issues that exceed published limits for structural damage, including performing structural analysis.
  • Providing work deviation authorization, interpretation of service documents & Engineering Orders.
  • Offering options for repairing versus replacing parts to minimize costs.
  • Assisting with aircraft system troubleshooting for Base Maintenance.
  • Attending daily production and pre-induction meetings to ensure support.
  • Providing on-site engineering assistance for significantly damaged aircraft.
  • Coordinating with Engineering Fleet Groups for troubleshooting and follow-up.
  • Monitoring trends and recurring discrepancies, developing typical repairs and manuals to reduce repetitive requests.

Candidate Requirements:



Education and Experience:

  • BSc Degree in Aeronautical, Aerospace, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering.
  • At least 2 years in a relevant technical discipline.



Skills:

  • Ability to perform structural analysis for repairs.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Investigative and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to prioritize tasks.
  • Knowledge of FARs, FAA policies, and vendor manuals (AMM, IPC, CMM).
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules.
  • Experience in aviation engineering or MRO is preferred.

Shift Details:

  • Typical shift:
    Tuesday to Monday.
  • 10 hours/day with additional pay for travel time.
  • 7 on/7 off rotation, no relocation needed.
  • Travel expenses covered.



Location:

Initial training in Charlotte, then placement at one of the listed locations. Location may change with notice.

This is a W-2 hourly position at approximately $65/hour.
