The Field Engineering Specialist provides technical leadership for assigned projects, working closely with project management, engineering, and controls technicians from development through project closeout, while mentoring involved associates. Oversight of programming, checkout, and commissioning tasks is essential.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- During the project development phase, provide feedback to controls engineering during submittal development and review sequences of operations for compatibility with standards.
- Assist engineering with mechanical system design issues.
- In installation/start-up, create and oversee site databases, graphics, and programming; participate in project turnover; provide technical support to installation teams; manage scheduling and dispatching of controls technicians; configure and calibrate systems; and ensure quality documentation.
- Act as the primary technical resource and mentor for field personnel, diagnosing BAS and system issues.
- During closeout, oversee or perform internal commissioning, represent Brady during third-party commissioning, compile final documentation, and ensure data backups.
- Develop and maintain customer relationships, provide owner training, and collaborate with all associates to uphold company values.
- Participate in recruitment, work overtime/weekends as needed, and work on-call periodically.
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, with overtime/weekends and travel as required.

Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate's degree or equivalent in HVAC or related field.
- 5+ years in HVAC controls installation, programming, and commissioning.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, electronics, pneumatic controls.
- Valid driver’s license, ability to pass drug screening, and prove US employment eligibility.
