GFT is seeking a Construction Engineering Inspector to join our Construction Services team with multiple openings in North Carolina

• Perform field inspections, design calculations, verify accuracy of dimensions and project data, and examine workmanship for conformity to standards.
• Work under the supervision of a field engineer, project manager, or senior‑level team member.

• Ability to establish and maintain positive lines of communication between technicians, engineers, contractors, and the public.
• Must be able to work nights and weekends as required, to any assigned project within the State of NC.
• Apply safety philosophy and program to all operations.
• Work safely in an outside environment exposed to hazards on construction sites, including heights, highway traffic, and rough terrain.
• Work productively in a team environment and independently.
• Perform moderate physical activity including walking, climbing, balancing, kneeling, and standing.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Close visual acuity to review and interpret plan details.
• Survey and inspect construction sites in rough terrain and variable temperatures.

• 2+ years of related experience.
• High School diploma.
• Flexible—can adapt to shifting priorities.
• Can take direction from others and provide guidance to others.
• Valid NC Driver’s License required.

The salary range for this role is $50,000 – $80,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
