Geotechnical Engineer

Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) is currently seeking a Staff Geotechnical Engineer with 1 to 3 years of experience for our Greensboro, North Carolina office.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform engineering calculations, including settlement, bearing capacity, lateral earth pressures, pavement section designs, slope stability, etc.
• Provide task support to the Construction Observation & Testing group
• Coordinate and manage projects and review laboratory testing
• Complete accurate geotechnical exploration reports
• Generate scopes and fees for new projects and prepare complete proposals and budgets

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field of study; EIT a plus!
• 1-3 years of relevant experience
• Own transportation, valid driver's license and good driving record
• Enjoy working outdoors
• NICET, ACI and/or other certifications desired
