North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University invites applications for part‑time instructors for Spring 2026 or Fall 2026. Part‑time instructors are hired on a semester‑by‑semester basis to teach physics courses.
Primary Purpose Of PositionThis is a repost. Previous applicants need not re‑apply for this temporary position.
Responsibilities- Teach introductory and advanced level physics courses, both face‑to‑face and online.
- Attend training and review sessions.
- Academic advising of students.
- Support student organizations.
- Participate in program development and assessment.
- Work cooperatively with faculty and staff in the department and university.
Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in Physics or a closely related subject with a minimum of 18 graduate‑credit‑hour courses.
PreferredCandidates with 1–3 years of teaching experience at the university or community college level are preferred.
Eligibility & Work ArrangementThis position may be eligible for a remote or hybrid work arrangement, consistent with university and state policies. Employees are generally required to reside in North Carolina, within a 2‑hour commuting distance of their assigned duty station.
