Overview
Posting Details and Classification: EHRA. The Department of Population Health Management & Policy (PHMP), within the Hairston College of Health and Human Sciences at North Carolina A&T State University, is seeking an assistant/associate professor whose teaching and scholarly research agenda is focused on healthcare administration and public/population health, or a closely related area. The primary purpose of this role is to provide student-centered teaching and clinical instruction of undergraduate and graduate-level courses.
Faculty in this role will provide student advising, student mentoring, recruitment, curriculum development, and engage in program assessment and accreditation-related procedures. The selected candidate is expected to establish and sustain a strong externally-funded research program, produce an excellent record of scholarly publications, incorporate modern pedagogical skills in healthcare management/administration courses, supervise and support student projects, and provide service to the department, college, university, and appropriate community and professional organizations.
This is a 9-month, tenure-track position; the faculty rank will be determined by qualifications.

Responsibilities- Provide student-centered teaching and clinical instruction for undergraduate and graduate courses.
- Offer student advising and mentoring; engage in recruitment and curriculum development; participate in program assessment and accreditation activities.
- Establish and sustain an externally-funded research program; produce scholarly publications.
- Incorporate modern pedagogical approaches in healthcare management/administration courses.
- Supervise and support student projects; perform service to the department, college, university, and relevant community/professional organizations.
- A Ph.D. in Health Services Administration or a related field.
- Preferred: 5 years of teaching experience; at least 2 years of leadership experience; ability to develop collaborative relationships across disciplines and with external health care organizations; demonstrated record of research and publications.
