Primary Purpose Of Position
The Department of Applied Engineering Technology is accepting applications for part‑time Instructors for fall 2025 or spring 2026. Part‑time Instructors are hired on a semester‑by‑semester basis to teach a variety of courses in the following areas:
Applied Engineering Technology, Automotive Engineering Technology, Computer Graphics Technology, and Technology Management. The maximum teaching load is four courses per semester.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, teaching in‑person or online courses, participating in teaching training, participating in data collection and assessment of student learning, participating in department faculty and staff meetings, and submitting teaching materials as part of semester review. This is a temporary position.
Minimum Qualifications- Candidates must have a Master’s degree in a related engineering or technology field at the time of application.
- Candidates with a minimum of one year teaching experience at the university or community college level and related industrial experience.
- One year teaching experience at the university or community college level.
- Related industrial experience.

This position may be eligible for a remote or hybrid work arrangement, consistent with university and state policies. N.C. A&T employees are generally required to reside in North Carolina within a 2‑hour commuting distance of their assigned duty station.
