Position: Librarian I - Teen Services - College Hill Library

The City of Westminster is seeking a creative and collaborative librarian who loves working with teens (ages 12-18)! The Teen Services Librarian position is responsible for designing and delivering innovative programming, providing reference and readers’ advisory to all ages, and supporting outreach efforts.

The Teen Services Librarian regularly works the information desk, provides outstanding customer service, answers an array of technology and reference questions, and creates engaging displays to highlight the library’s collection. The Teen Librarian also serves on library-wide committees, works on special projects as needed, partners with local schools, and supports a variety of collection maintenance tasks.

The ideal candidate for this role has a heart for public service, champions teamwork, and values equity and empathy in a community-focused setting. Someone with a passion for teen services, engaging programming ideas, tech savviness, and patience with teens and adults will thrive in this environment.

The Teen Services Librarian reports to the College Hill Library Public Services Coordinator. College Hill is a dynamic, mid-sized public library that shares space and resources with Front Range Community College. While the College Hill Library information desk will be home base, support for other work groups and service areas may also be required.

The full salary range for this position is stated above. The starting range of pay is dependent on qualifications and experience of each individual candidate. The City of Westminster has a Multilingual Stipend Program to encourage, and reward benefited employees who are conversationally fluent in languages other than English. Benefited employees have the opportunity to test their language proficiency skills and qualify for a bi-weekly stipend that will vary based on the employee’s level of proficiency and usage.
