Temporary Financial Literacy Summer Camp Instructor

Position Overview

Temporary Financial Literacy Summer Camp Instructor – a short‑term, full‑time role with a stipend of $1,000. The position runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., and is open until March 30, 2026.

• Design and deliver interactive financial literacy lessons for camp participants.
• Teach core concepts such as budgeting, saving, spending, credit, investing, and basic entrepreneurship.
• Facilitate hands‑on activities, simulations, and group discussions to reinforce learning.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
• Supervise campers during instructional periods and assist with transitions as needed.
• Collaborate with camp leadership and staff to support daily programming.
• Maintain classroom materials and ensure activities align with camp goals.
• Uphold all university and camp safety policies, including youth protection standards.

• Minimum:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Education, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience teaching, mentoring, or working with youth (K‑12 preferred).
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to simplify complex financial concepts for young learners.
  • Dependable, organized, and enthusiastic about youth education.
• Preferred: 3 years of experience.
