Position Summary

The Coordinator for Residence Life is a full-time, twelve-month, live-on, exempt position reporting to an Assistant Director for Residence Life. The Coordinator for Residence Life (CRL) is responsible for developing community for 300–600 residential students. CRLs are responsible for providing programming, leadership development, supervision, and advising for their community.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s Degree with concentration in College Student Personnel, Higher Education Administration, Facilities Management, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Post-baccalaureate experience working in Housing and Residential Programs (Residence Life).

Recruitment Range

Commensurate with experience, plus a monthly campus allowance of $400

Key Responsibility:
Supervision and Leadership
  • Supervise, train, and evaluate 6–14 student staff.
  • May supervise a graduate student.
  • May supervise and coordinate hall desk operations and supervise desk assistants.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and assessment of departmental goals and initiatives.
  • Conduct regular one‑on‑one meetings with staff.
  • Provide appropriate referrals to other university departments/resources as needed.
  • Serve on an on‑call duty rotation.
  • Manage hall budgets.
  • Work with Administration and Facilities staff for community needs.
Key Responsibility:
Student and Community Development
  • Coordinate, plan, evaluate, and oversee the implementation of programming and community building in the residence hall.
  • Serve as a judicial hearing officer for hall conduct.
  • Advise Hall Council.
  • Coordinate and support academic initiatives in the hall and department.
