Position Overview
In a partnership between North Carolina A&T State University and The University of North Carolina at Wilmington, the Next Gen Post-Doctoral Fellow will conduct research in support of the N.C. A&T Aggie Academy and the Center of Excellence for Educational Equity Research in the areas of Leadership in Education and Educator Preparation. The post-doctoral fellow will also participate in teaching and mentoring graduate students.
The mission of the forthcoming Center of Excellence for Educational Equity Research is to advance research to inform educational policies and practices for greater equity in K-12 and Higher Education contexts. Center research and professional learning programming will inform teaching, leadership, and counseling practices to create anti-racist and culturally sustaining learning environments for all learners.
Conduct scholarly research in leadership and educator preparation; contribute to studies that inform educational policy and practice; collaborate with faculty and graduate students; deliver invited lectures and mentor graduate students; disseminate findings through publications, conferences, and community outreach; engage in the Center’s educational initiatives that promote culturally responsive teaching and learning.
QualificationsA doctoral degree in Education, Leadership, or a related field. Skills include critical thinking, time management, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
