Part-Time Instructor / The Landscape Architecture Program
Position Overview
The Landscape Architecture Program is accepting applications for Part-Time Instructors. Part-Time Instructors are hired on a semester-by-semester basis to teach landscape architecture courses delivered by the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Design. The maximum teaching load varies from 1-2 courses per semester.
Responsibilities
- Teach face-to-face landscape architecture courses
- Participate in data collection and assessment of student learning
- Submit teaching materials as part of semester review
Primary Function of Organizational Unit
The Landscape Architecture Program supports over 55 undergraduate majors along with students from other majors taking landscape architecture courses as electives.
Minimum Requirements
- Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture or a closely related discipline with at least one professional degree in landscape architecture at the time of application.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-3 years of teaching experience at the University or Community College level.

Position may be eligible for a remote or hybrid work arrangement, consistent with university and state policies. Employees generally required to reside in North Carolina within a 2-hour commuting distance of their assigned duty station.
