This position reports directly to the U3PL Manager. The Material Expediter coordinates the activities of the Distribution Center personnel to expedite the flow of product, both incoming and outgoing using the proper processing, storage procedures, and methods. This position provides s

- Must have good computer and data entry skills
- Must have basic accounting procedures skills
- Must have the ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Requires good communication skills and the ability to pay attention to details
- Must be able to obtain security clearance from DOD
- Open and/or Close facility daily
- Coordinates forklift driver and other receiving personnel to receive inbound shipments in a timely manner
- Resolves count and damage issues
- Administers the processing or orders with problems in accordance with established procedures for proper handling, including quarantine, and follow-through with corrective actions
- Performs data entry of receiving documents
- Responsible for warehouse logistics, Pick, Pack, Ship, Receiving and internal inventory moves
- Coordinates “put‑away” with receiving and material handler personnel
- Monitors shipping orders
- Serves as back‑up operator in the QC and Rate Station functions as needed
- Schedules outbound delivery pick‑ups and ensure product is properly loaded on the carrier’s truck
- Provides assistance during cycle counts and resolves discrepancies
- Research shipping/receiving order discrepancies through the information system and administers the implementation of corrective action
- Responsible for safety and good housekeeping practices
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Experience
: 1 to 2 years
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, etc.
- Must be able to lift, pull, and push, 45 pounds at time
- Noise in the work environment is moderate
- Ability to stand and use external dexterities for an entire shift
Education
:
Associate's or bachelor's degree in business or a related field
