Collections Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Collections Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Greensboro, North Carolina. This position involves managing business-to-business collections and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments and resolution of outstanding balances. Candidates should bring a strong background in commercial collections and demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

- Monitor and manage accounts receivable to identify and address overdue payments.

- Conduct business-to-business collection calls and emails to recover outstanding balances.

- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to resolve payment discrepancies and disputes.

- Maintain accurate records of collection activities and payment statuses.

- Analyze account data to identify trends and improve collection processes.

- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations during all collection activities.

- Prepare and present reports detailing collection metrics and account statuses.

- Communicate with customers professionally to negotiate payment arrangements.

- Support billing processes by verifying and reconciling invoices.

- Provide recommendations for improving financial workflows and reducing overdue accounts. Requirements - At least 2 years of experience in collections, preferably in a business-to-business environment.

- Strong knowledge of accounts receivable and collection processes.

- Proficiency in handling commercial and consumer collections.

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

- Strong analytical skills to assess account data and resolve discrepancies.

- Proficiency with relevant software and tools used in collections.

- Familiarity with credit and billing practices.
