Controller, Accounting, Accounting Manager

We are seeking an experienced Controller to provide high-level accounting leadership and advisory services to client organizations. This role is hands-on, client-facing, and impact-driven. You will work directly with executive teams to improve financial reporting, strengthen controls, and create sustainable accounting processes that actually stick.

What You Will Do

• Serve as a trusted accounting advisor to client leadership teams.
• Deliver measurable and sustainable improvements in financial reporting and performance monitoring.
• Execute defined project plans and provide ongoing advisory support.
• Analyze financial statements, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
• Lead cash flow management, budgeting, and forecasting efforts.
• Support accounting system implementations, migrations, and integrations.
• Establish repeatable processes and help client teams adopt them.
• Provide weekly progress updates tied to agreed deliverables.
• Work independently or as part of a consulting team depending on engagement scope.
• Travel to client sites as required.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required;
  Master’s preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong command of financial statements and variance analysis.
• Proven experience with cash flow management and budgeting.
• Hands-on experience with accounting platforms such as Quick Books (Desktop and Online), Sage, Net Suite, AS400, or similar systems.
• Experience with accounting system migrations and ERP or CRM integrations.
• Cost accounting experience is a plus.
• CPA preferred.
• Comfortable working directly with executives and making recommendations that drive action.

Work Environment and Travel

• Mix of remote and on-site work based on client needs.
• Schedule and billable hours aligned with client engagements.
• Travel required; client covers airfare, lodging, and rental vehicles.
• Partial per diem provided for travel days.

• This is not a back-office, low-impact accounting position.
