Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team in Greensboro, North Carolina. This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in accounting principles and a keen attention to detail. The position will involve a variety of tasks, including managing financial records, supporting tax-related processes, and collaborating with external accounting professionals.

Responsibilities:

- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

- Prepare and post journal entries to maintain an up-to-date general ledger.

- Reconcile bank statements and ensure proper alignment with financial records.

- Assist in month-end closing procedures and produce necessary financial reports.

- Utilize accounting software such as Quick Books and Excel to analyze and organize data.

- Coordinate with state government agencies regarding unemployment tax filings.

- Maintain organized records and ensure proper filing of financial documents.

- Collaborate with external CPA firms to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.

- Provide administrative support through record-keeping and document management.

- Assist the Controller with various tasks and responsibilities as needed. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable management.

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including general ledger and journal entries.

- Proficiency in accounting software such as Quick Books, SAP, Net Suite, and Oracle.

- Ability to perform bank reconciliations and manage month-end close processes.

- Familiarity with Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes.

- Experience working with external CPA firms and handling tax-related matters.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Strong communication skills for collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
