We’re looking for a Product Compliance Senior Specialist to join our growing Product Compliance team in LATAM, supporting the Brazil market. This is an exciting, hands‑on Individual Contributor (IC) opportunity working directly with product managers, analysts, and engineers to launch and manage compliant products in one of our most dynamic markets.

Your Mission:

Wise has already pioneered new ways for people to transfer money across borders and currencies. Your mission is to enable our Brazil product teams to launch new products and manage our risk profile through a deep understanding of the regulatory requirements and the Brazilian Central Bank expectations. You will ensure that compliance is a competitive advantage, not a hurdle.

Collaborate on Product Design:
Deeply understand regulatory needs and translate them into technical solutions for the product and engineering teams.

• Risk Assessments:
  Perform pre-launch and ongoing product compliance, financial crime, and regulatory analysis for new features and products.
• Advisory:
  Offer effective, practical, and customer-oriented advice to Product Managers on existing and forthcoming regulations, gaps, and risks.
• Empowerment:
  Build risk-based processes and controls that allow the product to scale while staying within our risk appetite.

Manage and Mitigate Regulatory Risks and the Control Environment:
Monitor and ensure adherence to Central Bank regulations

• Control Design:
  Oversee the control environment for our Brazilian offering, designing effective, creative, and targeted controls that satisfy BACEN requirements.
• Data Insights:
  Analyze metrics and data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for process improvements, creating reporting for senior management.

This role will give you the opportunity to:

• Keep compliance right at the heart of the product development cycle, in a fast-moving environment.
• Be empowered to identify ‘regulatory problems’ and opportunities and develop the solution design and implementation.

• Regulatory Expert:
  Knowledge of Brazilian Central Bank resolutions (e.g., Resolution 96/2021, Resolution 277/2022, Circular 3,978/2020, Resolution 1/2020, Joint Resolution 1/2020) and other BCB regulations relevant to Payment Institutions and FX.
• Product-Minded:
  You have experience collaborating with product and engineering teams to develop payment features.
• Problem Solver:
  You have a problem‑solving attitude, with the ability to use regulation together with data to drive business decisions.
• Communication:
  You are fluent in both English and Portuguese (written and verbal).
• Team Player:
  You have a sense of camaraderie and good humor while under pressure and can work effectively with different stakeholders across global teams.
• Willingness to travel, as Wise offices are located across different countries.

Some extra skills that would be great:

• Experience with Confluence, Jira, and Risk and Controls software.
• Fluency in Spanish.
