Senior Design Manager

Job Description

We are looking for a Micro Controller Design Leader to drive a team towards end-to-end development of microcontrollers. This role combines technical leadership, team management, and cross-functional collaboration.

• Lead controller integration and build a team for product execution.
• Drive architecture, micro-architecture, and design requirements.
• Collaborate with IP, technology, packaging, and global cross-functional teams.
• Drive RTL design, power-aware architecture (UPF), performance optimization, and synthesis.
• Own and guide synthesis, timing constraint development, and logic equivalence checking.
• Collaborate closely with the physical design team through PnR, timing closure, and signoff (DRC/LVS/IR).
• Ensure CDC, DFT, and low-power design practices are integrated into the flow from early design stages.
• Act as a technical liaison between RTL, physical design, verification, software, and system architecture teams.
• Support silicon validation, system integration, and production testing.
• During execution a close interaction and decision making is required between Technology, packaging, IP, Architecture, Various implementation functions, Test and Product Engineering.
• Liaison with the software and product teams to support those aspects.
• Work with Sales/Marketing and customers where applicable.
• Work with Program management office for management attention and clearly articulate dependencies and help needed for timely execution of projects.

• B.Tech/M.Tech with 12+ years in SoC/IP design; 5+ years in leadership roles.
• Expertise in processor-based controller design (ARM, DMA, interfaces like USB/PCIe/SPI).
• Strong knowledge of RTL coding (System Verilog/VHDL), low-power design, CDC/LINT & back-end design.
• Familiarity with DV, DFT, PD, and SW processes; scripting skills.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and global team collaboration skills.
• Ability to balance hands‑on development with strategic oversight.
• Problem‑solving mindset and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
