Job Description

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

• Bag groceries at checkout, aiming for at least five items per bag without damage.
• Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags.
• Assist in removing merchandise from bascarts for checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to shelves, gather and return bascarts, and clean spills and trash inside and outside the store.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise, understand store layout, conduct price checks.
• Reinforce safety programs, comply with safety procedures, and report unsafe conditions.
• Adhere to food safety regulations, inspect equipment, and report repairs needed.
• Create a welcoming environment, answer questions, and assist diverse customer needs.
• Follow all laws, regulations, and company guidelines.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment, manage conflicts professionally, and act with honesty and integrity.
• Follow directions, seek assistance when needed, and perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Customer Service skills
• Effective communication skills

Desired Previous Job Experience:

• Retail experience preferred but not required
