Job Description
I have an opening for our Babbitt Tech position.
This needs to be someone willing to work in a harsh environment. It gets hot in this area during summer.
Responsibilities- Work independently, problem solve, and take responsibility for tasks.
- Utilize hand tools, tape measures, and grinders.
- Perform duties: melting out parts, using oxy/acetalene torches, sand blasting, assembling parts, picking out fixtures, directing modifications to fixtures, casting parts using a 600 F tin tank, and pouring 800 F babbitt.
- 1st shift position with overtime available; must be able to work Saturdays.
- Potential for becoming lead person in the department.
- Experience in foundry work, preferably in a lead role.
- Ability to work in harsh environments; endure high temperatures during summer.
Starting wage: $20 - $25 pending skills.
