Job Description:
DME Intake Specialist Responsibilities
- Enter sales orders accurately into the system.
- Verify insurance information and ensure proper documentation for billing.
- Review prescriptions and supporting chart notes to confirm compliance for billing purposes.
- Follow up with physicians to obtain missing documentation.
- Provide direct client interaction and exceptional customer service.
- Handle OTC sales of soft goods and accessories.
- Dispense medical equipment and soft goods billed to insurance (e.g., walkers, bath safety items, mobility aids, orthopedic supports).
- Educate patients on proper use of all dispensed items.
- Unpack shipments (including palletized deliveries); must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
- Perform basic assembly of equipment.
- Enter patient demographic data accurately.
- Participate in on‑call rotation.
Regular rotation of approximately 3‑4 days per month, including holidays.
Paid for actual time worked plus stipend:
- $30 for weekdays
- $100 for Saturdays
- $75 for Sundays
Employees may trade on‑call days with co‑workers, but if no coverage is found, the scheduled employee must take the rotation.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greenfield, WI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 – $20.00/hr.
