Summary
:

Under the supervision of the Radiologist and according to established policies and procedures, operates CT and X-ray equipment to obtain diagnostic images according to Radiologist specifications and assist the Radiologist in protocols/procedures. The CT/X-ray Technologist performs exams in compliance with regulatory agencies and hospital policies and procedures. The incumbent selects appropriate imaging parameters to produce exams of diagnostic quality with 90-95% accuracy.

Assists radiologist in specialized exams such as biopsies, ablation, and abscess drainage. Follows patient screening/care protocols and provides accurate documentation to support expedited patient throughput and diagnosis. Operates multi-slice CT scanners to produce cross-sectional radiographs for diagnostic purposes. Ensures safe operation of equipment and exposure of patients to radiation. Provides professional and high-quality care following hospital policies, procedures and standards.

Performs all CT technologist duties daily and provides direct patient care to patients from pediatric through geriatric ages. Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment to supply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiographic…
