Manages the residential loan servicing department with the aim of providing exceptional service to customers and co-workers alike. Performs various operational and clerical duties as required to maintain an efficient workflow in confirmation with established Bank policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES- Oversees residential and consumer loan servicing duties and responsibilities to ensure team performance is efficient, accurate, and compliant.
- Provides direction, support, and assistance to loan servicers and other bank employees as warranted. Conduct servicing meetings as needed.
- Sets measurable goals to track performance against. Creates, maintains, and reviews reports to confirm tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Ensures loan servicing procedures are comprehensive and accurate. Promptly facilitates procedure updates in response to policy and regulation changes. Proactively searches for procedural bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
- Assists with servicing overflow on day-to-day tasks including, but not limited to: customer queries and concerns; new loan setups onto CORE system;
Loan Master File reviews for quality assurance; rate index changes; PMI payments and maintenance; tax and insurance monitoring reports and payments; processing mortgage discharges; and processing payoffs and payoff quotes. - Assists with annual escrow analysis and ensures accurate statements
- Prepares loan files for sale and delivery to the secondary market.
- Monitors progress on construction loans and manages loan disbursements. Handles conversion to repayment phase once construction is completed.
- Ability to work well with paperless document collection systems as well as other web-based systems
- Assists EVP of Residential Lending and VP of Mortgage Operations with HMDA and other lending audits, both external and internal.
- Prepares various loan reports as needed for internal use.
- Attends relevant seminars and training classes.
- Performs related and unrelated duties as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in previous work experience.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant loan experience.
- Mortgage and consumer loan knowledge and working knowledge of the bank’s data systems (COCC Insight and Encompass LOS) preferred.
- Excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills are required.
- Must be a team player, detail oriented, organized and able to multi-task and perform under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Remains informed of current trends and compliance relating to loan servicing
- Technologically proficient.
- Ability to work independently
