The Warehouse Order Waving Lead is responsible for creating, releasing, and managing order waves within the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate order fulfillment. This role requires strong attention to detail, solid understanding of warehouse workflows, and the ability to prioritize and sequence work based on labor, equipment, and operational constraints.
Responsibilities and Duties- Execute daily waving activities, including order selection, wave building, and wave release in the WMS.
- Analyze order profiles, product characteristics, and operational capacity to determine optimal wave grouping.
- Coordinate with picking, packing, replenishment, and shipping teams to align wave timing with workflow readiness.
- Monitor wave progress and resolve issues such as shorts, system errors, and capacity conflicts.
- Adjust wave plans based on real‑time conditions (e.g., staffing levels, equipment availability, bottlenecks).
- Communicate wave priorities and changes to operations leaders and floor supervisors.
- Ensure waving logic meets service‑level commitments, cut‑off times, and carrier schedules.
- Maintain accuracy and data integrity within the WMS and related systems.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to throughput, accuracy, and workflow optimization.
- Assist in developing and refining waving configurations, rules, and process documentation.
- 1–3 years of warehouse, distribution, or logistics experience; WMS experience strongly preferred.
- Understanding of warehouse functions such as picking, replenishment, packing, and shipping.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency with Excel and basic data analysis tools.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Physical Requirements
- li>Warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and perform tasks for extended periods.
