If so, we have a wonderful opportunity at our clinic for an entry-level mental health therapist.
Origins is committed to being a teaching practice where new therapists can build their counseling skills and techniques with collaborative supervision and training. Our vision is to pour into our Resident providers so that it spills out into the care we are giving to our community's mental wellness. This position is for a First Year Resident in our clinic. Origins provides a comprehensive residency program designed to enhance the skills and competency of new counselors.
We provide one‑on‑one clinical supervision as well as twice‑monthly group supervision. Each new provider is paired with a peer mentor who also meets with them weekly to ensure success in getting acclimated to our systems and procedures.

- Guiding patients through crises
- Diagnosing psychological disorders
- Highlighting problematic patterns that need to be changed
- Improving communication
- Assisting patients in addressing dysfunctional behaviors
- Perform intake and needs assessments for individuals, significant others, and family members through testing, interviews, observations, and conversation sessions
- Document patient records accurately and thoroughly in accordance with facility and licensing standards
- Provide mental health services to families, couples, individuals, and children utilizing evidence‑based methods and/or systemic approaches for improving relationships
- Plan, carry out, and assess therapeutic treatment programs for each patient individually
- Collaborate with community organizations and attend weekly clinical team meetings
- Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or Clinical Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution
- Current or temporary Indiana license (LMFTA or LMHCA)
- Students in their final semester are encouraged to apply; if offered a position, employment begins once requirements are met
- Experience or strong interest in working with children and families
- Training or interest in couples therapy
- Willingness to offer some evening and/or weekend availability
$46,000 per year
