Must-Have:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience, including experience with laboring and postpartum patients.
- Ability to care for laboring and postpartum patients.

- Experience with pediatric and Med Surg patients.
- Capability to titrate specific medications in laboring patients.
- Flexibility to float to Med Surg units as needed.
- Availability to work every third weekend and preferred holiday availability.

Description:

The unit focuses on laboring and postpartum care.
The facility delivers patients with a minimum gestation of 32 weeks.
They have five labor and delivery beds and ten postpartum beds.
There are approximately 430 births per year.
Staffing ratios conform to AWHONN standards.
There is a charge nurse on every shift, and nursing supervisors are available 24/7.
There is one Patient Care Technician on night shifts to assist with tasks like blood sugar checks.
Neonatologists are available in-house 24/7.
Anesthesia coverage is provided by CRNAs who are available for OB only, also 24/7.
Respiratory therapy is present for all C-section deliveries.
Telemetry monitoring is available on the unit.
Electronic fetal monitoring systems are used for patient assessment.
Self-scheduling is part of the shift management process.
Scrub colors for nursing staff are navy blue or royal blue.
There is one week of orientation for new staff.
The facility will require staff to participate in call/standby rotations based on census.
Floating will occur on a rotational basis to Med Surg units.
