Mech Tech

Incumbent is responsible for ensuring that all equipment and machinery is maintained and operational. This position is the in‑house mechanical consultant on current equipment, processes and facilities. Will be responsible for trouble shooting and repair tasks on equipment as needed.

• Makes recommendations for machine and process modifications.
• Establishes, monitors and directly trains personnel on new and non‑routine jobs.
• Performs diagnostic troubleshooting on machinery.
• Serves as consultant to maintenance staff for equipment repair and upgrades.
• Responsible for training maintenance personnel on proper use and safeguards for all industrial machinery.
• Works with outside vendors to ensure proper service delivery model.
• Interface with manufacturing and Distribution departments regarding planned preventative maintenance and repair status.
• Works with outside vendors during new equipment installs.

• Mechanic/ Electrician – Employee should have 3 – 5 years experience in an industrial maintenance setting in order to be proficient in repair and troubleshooting of industrial equipment.
• Leadership – Employee should have 2 – 3 years experience as a leader or maintenance specialty person. This will allow the employee to be proficient in employee development and employee relations activities.

• In‑depth mechanical and/or electrical background in an industrial setting.
• Proficient in written and verbal communication.

• High School Minimum
• AA degree or Trade School certificate in maintenance related field.
