This position is responsible for interacting with customers and team members, supporting selling initiatives, and performing assigned tasks while providing legendary customer service.

As a Team Member, it is essential that you be available, flexible, adaptable, and service-oriented, as you must be able to fulfill all of the following requirements:

Experience:

No experience required; retail or pet/live animal knowledge is preferred.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; reading, writing, and counting skills required.

• Pet/live animal, pet food, and product knowledge
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Basic computer skills
• Interpersonal skills and ethical conflict resolution

• Indoor environment with moderate noise
• Hard surfaces, adequate lighting and temperature
• Shifts generally no less than 4 hours, may exceed 8 hours
• Promote safety and adhere to safety guidelines

• Non-sedentary position requiring movement throughout the store and outdoors
• Operate equipment safely and efficiently
• Occasionally lift or reach overhead
• Stand, kneel, twist, crouch, squat, bend, stoop, climb ladders
• Move throughout the store for entire shift
• Access all store areas safely
• Operate store equipment and complete documentation accurately
• Transfer merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds
• Complete training and certification requirements
