Machine Operator TN

Overview

Description MACHINE OPERATOR – Performs functions that are associated with operating CNC/Laser machines and plasma cutter.

This position reports to Machining Supervisor. It is solely accountable for the fulfillment of all assigned duties and has authority delegated commensurate with assigned responsibilities.

2nd Shift

• Operate CNC Machines, Laser, Brake Press, Saw and Plasma Cutter.
• Perform Quality checks.
• Operate forklift.
• Operate in compliance with Basic Processes and Work Instructions.
• Any additional duties that have not been specifically stated, but which may be assigned and those that are logically and properly inherent to this position.

• High School Diploma or GED Certification preferred.
• Have at least 1 year on the job experience and/or schooling with CNC/Laser Machines.
• Ability to gain knowledge and use of the machine control panels.
• Ability to read and write legible a must.
• Ability to read and interpret part dimensional prints.
• Basic math skills required.
• Ability to obtain JOST International Fork Lift Certification.
• Ability to gain knowledge of company products. Comply with quality, environmental, safety and Jost company policies and procedures.

• Work is generally performed in a production plant 100% of time
• While performing duties of this job, the employee will regularly; stand, walk, reach, bend, twist and occasionally will be required to stoop, kneel, lift, pull or move objects of 50 pounds or less with or without assistance.
