Set-up Technician (Injection Molding)

Responsibilities- Maintain machines and associated equipment – including robotics.
- Conduct sampling of new molds and materials.
- Direct the daily duties of the personnel assigned to their area.
- Maintain records as required.
- Maintain equipment and ensure workspace is clean and orderly.
- Troubleshoot robots and other automation machinery.
- Conduct studies on production, labor, equipment, and material costs.
- Practice a variety of molding processes.
- Use data collection (Plant Star, Kistler, Maximator) modules effectively.
- Train and perform the duties of material handlers and operators as required.
- Assure that all quality assurance measures are followed to the control plan for each product.
- High School Education / GED.
- Journeyman’s card preferred.
- 5‑7 years previous experience in plastics in a set‑up capacity.
- Previous experience with 10‑500 ton capacity machines.
