Essential Function
Store Managers are responsible for hiring, developing, and leading all store associates while ensuring optimal customer experiences, effectively overseeing all store operations, and maintaining brand standards. Develop strategies and plans to achieve key performance indicators and financial targets through business analysis, action planning, effective communication, and consistent accountability. Assistant Managers, as part of their development, support the Store Manager and are responsible for all primary duties when the Store Manager is not present.
Primary Duties
- Brand (30%):
Provide supervision and support to associates' daily goals to deliver exceptional customer experiences, maximize sales/KPIs, and drive customer loyalty. Ensure brand standards such as merchandising, POGs, marketing, and dress code are met. Act as the main contact for customer issues and analyze store trends. - People (30%):
Engage, train, and develop teams to achieve positive results. Recruit actively to build a strong network of candidates. Identify strengths and opportunities for associates, coaching or counseling as needed. Maintain positive relations and communicate regularly with the team and peers. Foster diversity, inclusion, and belonging. - Operations (30%):
Ensure execution of company processes through training and analysis. Manage inventory, payroll, and store opening/closing procedures. Support digital strategies like Omni-channel fulfillment. - Safety/Loss Prevention (10%):
Maintain a safe environment, follow policies, protect assets, and ensure compliance with safety and security procedures.
Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be 18 or older
- Preferably 3+ years retail/customer service experience
- At least 1+ year of management experience preferred
- Effective team leadership and communication skills
- Flexible schedule availability
- Cosmetology license desirable but not required
