Job Description:
STC is seeking an Education & Public Outreach Coordinator IV to provide senior-level communications leadership under the ATMOS Contract at NASA GSFC. The ATMOS contract advances NASA’s Earth Sciences Division by supporting education, public engagement, and scientific outreach activities.
ATMOS is a NASA support services contract that provides advanced scientific, engineering, and technical expertise to enable Earth and space science missions. The program supports research, data analysis, technology development, and mission operations across multiple NASA centers. Through ATMOS, our teams deliver innovative solutions that help advance NASA’s mission and expand scientific discovery.
In this role, the Education & Public Outreach Coordinator IV will oversee the planning and development of outreach materials, educational programs, and public-facing science communications. The position emphasizes leadership in shaping outreach strategies, managing educational initiatives, and ensuring high-impact communication of NASA’s atmospheric research to stakeholders, educators, and the public.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Direct the development of NASA Earth Science outreach and education programs.
- Oversee production of high-quality publications, visuals, and online content.
- Manage and coordinate outreach campaigns with NASA scientists and educators.
- Represent NASA outreach efforts at workshops, conferences, and community events.

Education & Requirements:
- B.S. in physics, optics, electrical, mechanical, or optical engineering, or
- High school diploma, plus four years of experience in a relevant technical position. This experience can include technical coursework at a college, university or community college, and may also include military training and experience. This experience is in addition to the experience required for the position level.
- 10+ years of experience in education and outreach.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing communication strategies.
