Overview
The Northern Regional Parks Division is seeking Before/After School Kids Care staff to support engaging programs for infants to school-aged children. This role is ideal for individuals with experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting.

Positions- Child Care Before/After-School Director - Specialist/ Recreation Class Instructor III ($21.75/hr-$22.75/hr)
- Responsibilities:
Directors are the administrators responsible for Kids' Care program planning, and environments. Directors may also serve as the Kids' Care Before/After School Leader for the program. - Qualifications:
Must have 45 hours of child development (birth to school age), 45 hours of school age curriculum, 40 to 45 hours of approved administrative training, and 9 hours of communication training; or hold an AA degree or higher with approved courses in recreation or school-aged training. Must have one year of experience working in a licensed program with school aged children.

- Child Care Before/After School Leader - Specialist/Program Facility Manager III ($17.50/hr - $18.75/hr)
- Responsibilities:
After School Leaders are responsible for leading a group of children in a Kid's Care Before/After School Program and are accountable for program planning and program environments. - Qualifications:
Must have completed 45 hours of approved training in child development (birth to school age), 45 hours of curriculum training for school aged children, and 9 hours of communication training. Must have one year of college or 400 hours of experience working with school-aged children.

- Child Care Aide:
Before/After – School /Program Facility Aide I ($16.00/hr)- Responsibilities:
Aides are responsible for following all center safety procedures and helping the Before/After School Leader to assist children. - Qualifications:
Must be at least 16 years old and enrolled in a recognized/career-tech child development program.

- Child Care Aide/ Assistant Before/After School Leader/Program Facility Aide III ($16.75/hr)
- Responsibilities:
Assistant Leaders help the Before/After-School Leader plan methods for recreational/educational instruction and activities for the program day. - Qualifications:
Must have completed 9 hours of communication training, be at least 18 years old, have completed at least one year of college, and 400 hours of experience.

- Child Care Aide Assistant-Before/After School /Program Facility Manager Aide I ($16.25/hr)
- Responsibilities:
Assistants are responsible for following all center safety procedures and helping the Before/After Leader plan methods for educational and recreational instruction and activities for the program day. - Qualifications:
Must have finished one year of college, and have completed one year of job-related course work and have one year of experience working in a licensed childcare program.
- Responsibilities:
Education and experience requirements vary by position. Please review the details above. A valid driver's license or ability to acquire one. A valid operating license (e.g., childcare license) as appropriate.
Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
- Skills in program leadership and decision making.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to create developmentally appropriate learning and recreational environments.
May be subject to medical, drug and alcohol testing.
Work hours- 2 PM to 6PM
- Work is performed in a licensed childcare or school-based environment, including classrooms, cafeterias, multipurpose rooms, playgrounds, and outdoor areas.
- Employees may move between indoor and outdoor settings throughout the program day.
- Noise levels can be moderate to high due to active play, group activities, and large numbers of children.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching while supervising or engaging with children.
- Occasional lifting of materials, supplies, or equipment up to approximately 25–40 pounds.
- Active participation in recreational, educational, or physical activities may be required (e.g., games, playground supervision, light sports).
- Must complete a criminal background check prior to hire.
