Primary objective of position:
Under general supervision performs public contact and clerical work in processing vehicle title applications and transfers; collects a variety of fees.
- Determines factory cost of vehicles
- Issues title on vehicles
- Perfects and releases liens
- Issues transfer title extensions
- Verifies data on applications and proof reads data on listings and notarizes titles
- May process titles on county-owned vehicles
- Responds to phone and personal request for information
- Types letters and other correspondence
- Maintains files
- Collects and accounts for fees
- Enters data to computer
- Prepares data to be sent to State
- Records research
- Processes incoming and outgoing mail
Other Duties:
Fills in for others; performs other duties as required.
Salary: $19.92 - $24.49 per year
