Overview

A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) with an active Florida Department of Health license is sought to provide critical therapy services within a K-12 public school setting. This role involves supporting students from PreK through 8th grade across multiple elementary schools in the Green Cove Springs area. The contract spans the current school year, from early January through the end of May, with several positions offering the possibility of extension into the following year.

Responsibilities
  • Delivering speech and language evaluations and individualized treatment plans tailored to each students needs.
  • Serving students at various grade levels, primarily PreK through 5th grade, with scheduled itinerant assignments across multiple school locations.
  • Collaborating with onsite SLP teams to ensure consistency and continuity of care.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and tracking student progress in compliance with school district policies.
  • Participating in team meetings and engaging with educators and families to support student success.
Qualifications
  • Valid Florida Department of Health SLP license is required.
  • Experience working in school-based settings with children from PreK to middle school.
  • Ability to manage an itinerant caseload across several schools, adapting to varying environments.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working alongside educators, families, and other SLPs.
  • Flexibility to work both part-time and full-time schedules, including the potential for a 5-day maternity coverage assignment.

This position offers opportunities to work within well-supported teams across multiple elementary schools. Scheduling flexibility varies by assignment and allows for combining days to create full-time equivalents. The role is on-site and not open to VOCO remote placements.
