Green Bay Metro is accepting applications for Bus Drivers. We are seeking individuals who are committed to safety and customer service to provide a vital service for our community.

Wage Rate Progression:- $22.90/hour (0-1040 hours)
- $24.28/hour hours)
- $26.85/hour (2081+ hours)
Varies during Green Bay Metro's hours of operation. Monday-Friday, 5:15 a.m.
-6:45 p.m., and Saturdays, 7:15 a.m.
-1:45 p.m. 37.5 hours/week, plus additional hours as required. Bus Operators also work at varied times during the NFL season for Packer game day routes (Monday-Sunday).
No residency requirement.

Job Responsibilities:- Operate a variety of City buses on regular and limited service routes.
- Operate electronic farebox system to receive and check fares, determine appropriate fares, and provide transfers and information to passengers.
- Operate Automatic Vehicle Locator (AVL) system and call out streets at stops in its absence.
- Maintain safety and order among passengers; assist passengers with disabilities using mechanical lifts or ramps.
- Read meters for passenger count and total; perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; complete daily DOT inspection reports and accident/injury reports as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Five years driving experience.
- One year experience working directly with customers or the public.
- One year experience working with individuals with special needs.
- Valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record; ability to obtain a Wisconsin Commercial Driver’s License with passenger endorsement within 30 days of hire.
- Ability to obtain and maintain CDL Medical Card.
Equivalent experience and education may be considered.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:- Good knowledge of DOT requirements and traffic regulations.
- Working knowledge of bus operation and city streets.
- Excellent driving, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse personalities and communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and work the required hours.
- May be required to pass approved tests demonstrating minimum competency.
