H.J. Martin and Son is a diversified construction company specializing in commercial and residential flooring, glass and glazing, steed stud and drywall, commercial doors and hardware, and millwork and fixture installation.

This position is in a fast-paced environment, driving, lifting, safe forklift operation, carrying material, building freight, attention to detail, and coordinating with the fabrication team to get our crews what they need in a timely, accurate and safe environment.

• Deliver and unload material to various job site locations in a timely manner and in accordance with applicable state, local and DOT regulations
• Load trucks for multiple deliveries, efficiently and accurately for pre-determined driving schedule
• Safely operate forklifts and other equipment to load, unload, sort, stage and transport material
• Provide outstanding customer service to internal and external customers by maintaining attention to detail and completing assigned work in a timely manner
• Follow safety policies and procedures to ensure safety, integrity and service
• Maintain cleanliness and assure proper functioning of company vehicles
• Report all delays during a delivery to management immediately
• Perform other related duties as assigned

• Valid driver’s license
• 2 years of verifiable driving experience, preferred
• Ability to obtain DOT Medical Card
• Safe driving record
  
  Working knowledge and understanding of Motor Carrier Safety Regulations/DOT Guidelines
• Ability to operate equipment – to include:
  Forklift, All-Terrain Forklift, Scissors Lift

• Position requires strenuous physical work, including heavy lifting, pushing and/or pulling objects

• Must be able to pass background, physical, and drug test
