The Fitness Instructor leads engaging, safe, and inclusive group exercise classes that support members of all fitness levels, with a focus on seniors. They design and deliver effective workouts that promote health, wellness, and functional movement, while ensuring safety, offering modifications, and creating a welcoming environment for all participants.

SUMMARY / PRIMARY PURPOSEThe Fitness Instructor will provide state-of-the-art group exercise instruction that contributes to each member or guest s fitness goals. To develop and instruct fun, energetic and highly motivational exercise classes for all fitness and skill levels.

MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENTUses a variety of office equipment including a computer, telephone, fax machine, copiers, printers and projection machines. Operate motor vehicles in the execution of some essential functions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 1+ years of experience teaching various or specific group exercise programs
- OR -
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
First Aid, CPR and AED Certification for Adult, Child, and Infant to be obtained with 30 days of hire. Current certifications through ACE, ACSM, AFAA or NSCA or any unique certifications pertaining to a specialized group exercise class or format - Zumba, for example - preferred.
