JOB REQUIREMENTS
This position works directly with clients and Children's Services case managers. The primary role of the position is to provide services for youth and families that are eligible for the Comprehensive Community Services and Coordinated Service Teams programs.
This position will require the ability to work individually and with small groups of clients on tasks including but not limited to, money management, life skills, educational needs, employment services, housing, personal hygiene, and mental health coping skills.
* This position may be eligible for hybrid telework up to 3 days per week after successful completion of 6-month probationary period.
- Arrange meetings with youth and support systems to provide skill development and caregiver coaching.
- Provide transportation to and from the skill building activities, community visits, or other appointments as needed.
- Provide educational tools to youth and caregivers on relevant topics.
- Provide assistance in locating basic needs support such as housing and filing out housing applications with youth as youth near the age of eighteen (18).
- Provide case filing and case documentation.
- Work with families in an empathic, professional, and objective manner.
- Help empower families to advocate for their children’s needs in the school systems.
- Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate program and client needs that may include evenings.
- Participate in training opportunities to maintain individual and organizational competency in assigned areas of responsibility.
- Attend meetings and coordinate services with other team members as necessary.
- Exercise a high level of independent responsibility, judgement, and initiative in evaluating and completing work assignments.
- Handle non-public confidential information in accordance with department policies and practices, as well as local, State, and Federal law.
- Other job duties as assigned by supervisor.

- Knowledge of and ability to utilize a computer and the required software.
- Ability to plan and organize work to make effective use of time.
- Ability to accept new ideas and ways of accomplishing purposes with understanding of need to deal with existing system.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the team, clients and the public.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Ability to work the required hours of the position.
- Ability to set professional boundaries with clients and coworkers.
- Ability to identify, discuss, and mitigate biases related to the provision of services to diverse client groups.
- Ability to work the required hours of the position, which is 37.5 hours weekly, with up to two evenings per week based upon the needs of the consumers/families.
- * There may be an occasional request for flexibility in work hours Mon-Thurs between 7am-7pm to accommodate team meetings or service needs.
- Ability to be flexible in the hours of work with core business hours being, Mon-Thurs: 7:30am-5:00pm and Fri: 7:30am-11:30am.
