Position Summary

Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician – Walmart is expanding its workforce across local retail stores and actively recruiting for this role. The successful candidate will support and oversee repair work for Walmart’s refrigeration and HVAC equipment, ensuring reliable operation throughout the facility. The position requires commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills, use of hand, digital, and power tools, and strong safety awareness.

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance
• Large‑scale rack refrigeration experience
• Type I, Type II, or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report
• 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
• Vocational or technical HVAC/R certification and at least 2 years of mechanical maintenance experience in a commercial HVAC/R environment

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility refrigeration and HVAC equipment using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills and appropriate hand, digital, and power tools
• Use the work order management system to receive and document repair work orders for stores and store associates
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by performing work according to Walmart’s refrigeration HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines
• Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights frequently

Hourly wage range: $23.00 – $45.00. Additional premium rates may apply based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Eligible for bonus incentive opportunities.
